Awards

Magnolia + Clavus is the proud recipient of two Heritage Preservation Awards granted by the Saugatuck-Douglas Historical Society.

The Preservation of the Historic Built Environment Award was presented to Magnolia + Clavus on April 9, 2008 for its work on the MacDonald’s Store located on the corner of Center and Spring Streets in Douglas. This award is presented to owners, designers, and builders for rehabilitation or renovation projects that preserve the architectural integrity of existing structures and respect the area's historic character.

The New Construction Award, presented on April 8, 2009, was awarded for the addition put on at 34 Center Street in Douglas. New Construction awards are presented to owners, designers, and builders who introduce new building into the landscape or make significant additions to existing buildings which respect the architectural integrity of existing structures and the area’s historic character in terms of style, scale, material, and are compatible with their surroundings.
